An up-to-date website doesn’t seem to be a priority since their show schedule is from 2018. It does indicate a 2020 copyright at the bottom of each page; however, a lot has happened since the beginning of 2020.

The copyright at the bottom of the website page is most like coded with html or javascript to display the current year so it does not need to be manually updated.

ahh how’d you do that? I tried to remember how to figure that out but couldn’t.
I’d bet they used the same documents as last year’s clinic and just changed the dates.

A friend saw photos from the clinic on Facebook. The person is from another discipline so might not have got the memo about not posting on social media.

I know some places (down in Aiken, SP) had been holding clinics with him and as far as I can tell USEF knows and has not done anything about it.

Yes, wasn’t he actually signed up to show or something though?
In all openness, the clients he visits in SP may not be current USEF members so they would have no say over them. I’m not ‘in’ that community enough anymore to know, and I don’t really want to involve myself in their drama when I’m sure USEF knows all about it.

If USEF isn’t addressing it you can report directly to Safe Sport if you know that those hosting are USEF members. I think I read on the USEF Safe Sport guidelines that the Center is primarily responsible for aiding and abetting claims.

I went on Persimmon Tree Farm’s FB page and there are no recent photos of GM clinic - there is one from 2018 and older. Did your friend see photos on someone else’s page?

What jurisdiction does USEF have over non USEF events or activities? I know I read somewhere that members could face some penalty(s) if they hosted or attended events with banned people but can’t locate.

No, he wasn’t signed up for anything and was there for some undisclosed or unexplained reason, as he was removed and escorted to the front entrance.

as far as I know, We really don’t know yet.
This is why some of us are watching so closely as while safesport has been quick in response, we just don’t know if it actually has any teeth behind it.
People love Morris. I don’t think USEF/Safesport has a true chance of stopping people from riding with him. But this is pretty blatant, and it will be interesting to see how USEF and safesport respond.

I don’t believe that there is any openly known instance of the USEF ever doing anything about “aiding and abetting” someone who has been sanctioned in the past, though they aren’t exactly an open book, so it’s possible things were kept quiet.

We’ll see. His long-term plan seems to be that he will sell his home near Wellington and discretely work out of his long-time NJ residence in very close proximity to his old Hunterdon farm, where he can quietly make money off of the riders/owners in the NorEast region, while often heading South to putter about in places like Southern Pines/Aiken, where he can make some bread without being under scrutiny like he would be in Wellington.
