Alot, bhrunner, who posts here, spent awhile working with him on the road recently.
Even when he is “home”, he’s out at the barns every day and watching. He misses very little that goes on.

Just sayin
Won’t pay money to be bullied or I’ll walk out of the ring, house, party, school, or anyplace (haha no pun intended) else ANYONE decides to be abusive.
Simon is hot. It’s American Idol, not a college professor Simon.
Audit the clinic and stay away from the xfire. I find I learn more on the ground anyway.
GM is …well what everyone has said he is. …and more.
You only get treated the way you allow people to treat you.
Just sayin…now kill this thread. It’s literally beating a dead horse. Everyone agrees to disagree or agrees to agree. It’s all good.
George Morris vs. Simon Cowell:

How often does GM travel for clinics these days? How many days per month is he typically on the road?
He does most of his clinics in the fall and winter, pre-WEF. Once that circuit starts, he gets very busy.
Ok, here it is- I proprose we pitch this hot new reality show- Survivor; George Morris Horsemastership Sessions. All of us that think it would be great to get the education, and call us what you will.
last one still riding wins… what? lifetime lessons w/ GM? Sounds like a winner to me
And yes, I Always pay attention- a really good skill to have at any GM clinic

I’d do it! I don’t know if my horses and I would endure (we would probably go lame) but we’d give it the ole college try.
Rode today w/ a pretty tough trainer and I felt like riding more after an hour. He got after me for doing a “eh em” goofy lead change - but “I” deserved it…
And the last two weeks have been riding lessons on both horses… ohhhh were getting there GM!!!
Much as I hate to juice this one to create more life in it…cannot resist.
I was thinking more along the lines of Hell’s Arena.
Survivor; Hell’s Arena. Man, I LOVE the sound of that!!! C’mon any big Hollywood execs that happen to read the Forum - put us in. There are a lot more horse people watching TV than you think.
George Morris is here in Australia at the moment - i audited a clinic he did two days ago.
it was my first GM experience and i was not disappointed in the slightest - nor was i put off at all by his manner.
Besides being the massive wealth of knowledge and advice that surely no one can deny, I found his sense of humor and manner cheeky but to the point. Of the several others i spoke to all agreed.
Yes he called a girl dumb, and told her she didn’t need to practise being stupid. But he was equally quick to praise her when she picked up her game and rode well.
Yes he told another rider she had a princess tantrum complex
Yes he told the auditors off for talk while he was speaking
Yes he yelled at the riders for pointing with their crops
He honestly didn’t seem “that bad”, I certainly wouldn’t call him a bully…!!
why didn’t he marry Terri ? They were great together. Even now when she interviews him there’s still chemistry.
Did GM have a g/f or wife?? I always thought he was single all of his life.
He practices an “alternative lifestyle”.
Who could blame him for practicing an alternative lifestyle? After listening to women cry and complain about how mean he is, he’s probably done with chicks in his personal life.
But can you imagine him as your “life partner” and how “bullying” he could be there? I’m sorry but I hear his voice saying things I can’t post here…
I’m really curious to hear what movie George Morris goes to see. I can so see him saying ‘I’ll take 2 for Saw IV please.’
Please. There’s a very cute moment with GM at the end of one of the horsemasters DVDs. (2009, I think?). GM is on the golf cart with LaurieP’s dalmation. The dog is so cute, giving GM some love and GM says something to the affect of ‘everyone thinks I’m so mean, but she knows better.’ It’s a really sweet moment…and if you don’t watch to the bitter end, you miss it.
He’s just a man that expects a lot out of people…And most of us want to go to him because of that. That doesnt’ make him some monster who eats nails for breakfast and enjoys horror and gore.

The “Terri” question was in reference to Simon Cowell, I believe.
I don’t think GM’s personal life is anyone else’s business. Nor is Simon Cowell’s, for that matter.
Well, there is always the “Ignore” function, just sayin’

Don’t participate in the matter, then.
How long before we hit 40 pages?

Well my bad then. People probably need to use the quote function so others know to whom it is that they are responding (as i have done here).
But as far as GM I didn’t realize that a) anyone really cared, or that b) it was any big secret if they did (see the Big Pink thread).
Saw that. Loved it.
I completely disagree. Since he had brief aspirations as an actor himself, I could see him outside the dollar theatre saying, “One for South Pacific please. Oh, and I’ll take another for the 3:00 showing of The Maltese Falcon.”
That man ain’t gonna go watch junk. He’s a big ol’ pussy cat and he’s all class. The cranky ones always are. You just gotta know when to quit stroking their tummies or they’ll gitcha!
