I wonder what happened to the other kids who were involved in stealing the horses? And if more horses have been stolen since then, since it sounded like part of a pattern.
I hope they will face severe legal consequences, not just a slap on the wrist.

Well today is the day!!! Finally get to meet Lorenza and his wife Dina! I’ve been crying off and on since last night, really don’t know why. Can’t tell if it’s because I’m still upset over the loss of his 2 horses and his hobby that he so loved, or maybe that this is all coming to an end (which I hope that it’s not).
Girl, we cried about him loving those horses, raising them, feeding them, training them, seeing them everyday and then they were gone. I understood, I know what he was saying. I feel it and I’m sure you do to! They’re not animals to us, they’re kids!I’ve offered to keep the mare until breeding time if he needs a safe place (if any place can be safe, lol) to keep her. He’s taken her back to Gilchrist and now she’s back in stall.
I’m sending you picture later of all 4 of us, spouses and Lorenza and me. Please if you can, share it on your forum to show readers there are some good people out there!!!

Hi! This is Jackie who started the GoFundMe account for Lorenza. I joined Chronicle of the horse so I could give everyone an update of Logo Winner, the surviving horse. I am now taking care of her so Mr. Gooch could go up to Iowa and see some harness racing. First of all, she has an injury to RR stifle area and I think something else is wrong with her, so she will be going back to Dr. Gilchrist as soon as Mr. Gooch pick her up!
Anyway, I wanted to thank everybody that donated, it blew Lorenza away!
I’m certain I have a friend for life with Lorenza!!
But the best news is that after going up to Iowa and seeing all his old friends, he is going to get back into harness racing!!! Hes looking for a yearling. Im over the moon happy for him!!!
Hello from hot Texas! I joined Chronicle so I could give you updates!update!! The BIG NEWS IS Lorenza went up to Iowa to watch some harness racing earlier this month!!! His wife wants hom to get out of the horse business BUT he said he decided then, he was going to find a yearling SB and get back to it!!!
I’m over the moon happy for him. He was lost without horse racing.
I have the mare Logo until the 25th. She is on stall rest here, only hand walking. She’s a doll and its a damn shame this happened to her!!!
She’s going back to Dr Gilchrist as I think there’s more than just stifle! Ultrasound for sure.

I posted he bought a yearling filly today!!! I was trying to watch the live stream but it was blurry and here i am trying to find 2 black people in the crowd. It was really quite silly . The auction people were moving those babies along! 3 minutes top between sales. One guy got cow kicked 3 times in that brief walk!! I bet his price went down, lol! Anyway, thanks again!
