Godavari is the fourth most influential source of blood in the current WBFSH top 100 jumpers. Does anyone know anything about him? is there a photo? help appreciated, Christopher Hector
Looks like he was bred in East Germany with lots of French and Russian blood on the damside.
He is nowhere to be found on the Equineline/Jockey Club database, but his dam (Russian) is, as is a 1982 GDR son of Parole Board named Zingaro. I searched under Godavari’s name and 1982, as well as his dam’s name and 1980-1984 foal birth years. If he never raced that might explain his omission.
According to Pedigree Query, his sire, Parole Board was sent to Poland in 1973 and to East Germany in 1981. Godavari was born in 1982, per Pedigree Query.
I found this in a german forum, dated 2004, don’t know which source the user used.
stallion approval 1985 in Mecklenburg Germany
2 approved sons (Gotas *88 licensed in Ganschow and Godanah *90 licensed in Redefin)
in 2002: 25 broodmares, 6 out of this awarded
65 offspring in shows, most famous seems Godahra ( Godahra II) *90, dam Dispatcher-Dolomit
Another source mentions stud farm Boxberg as breeder (racetrack in Gotha, Thüringen, seems to be an eventpark today: https://www.eventpark-boxberg.de/)
