Well my first attempt at hunting was for opening meet a week ago. Rained the whole time and had rained several days prior to the meet. I was a little nervous about the footing, but my mare and I survived with no problems. Had a great time at the “breakfast” afterwards. So, I accepted an invitation from another friend to go out with a different club this coming weekend. I think I may be getting hooked…hehe.
I am not aware of a 12 Step Program that addresses adults rising early on a weekend mornings in order to ride their horse across open fields and trappy woods at a pace that can leave you breathless. So, enjoy your second hunt but be aware…only those who ride beside you will understand why you.keep.coming.back.each.weekend.
