Goldfisch II old hannoveraner stallion

Does anybody have some intel on an old hannoveraner stallion named Goldfisch II born in 1935? I am doing some pedigree research for the upcoming breeding season and his name comes up frequently in the pedigrees but I cannot recall really heard of him before. So does anybody know anything exciting?

There is a bit on him here and a photo in this article about Gotthard. http://www.horsemagazine.com/thm/2010/08/gotthard/

“Gotthard was by Goldfisch II who was the sire of nine licensed stallion sons and who is the grandsire of another great, Grande. Goldfisch II descends from the nineteenth century Thoroughbred sire, Goldschaum. Goldfisch II had a reputation for producing beautiful horses and good movers, yet neither of his most famous sons had exceptional conformation – Graf was a small chestnut, like his son Grande, while Gotthard was not the most elegant of horses.”

And a few more lines about him here https://www.hwfarm.com/Stallions/urls/graf_goetz.htm

“The Goldfisch II line has a tremendous influence in the international shows in dressage and jumping. Gigolo, the multiple winner of international dressage Grand Prixs, winner of the Olympic Gold Medals, is an offspring of this Hanoverian G-line. His sire Grenadier is by Grande, who traces back to the foundation sire Goldfisch II.”

And here:
https://www.risingstarfarm.net/new/kinnaras/ “Gong comes from the old foundation lines of Goldfisch II, who sired the exceptional Grand Prix jumper Gladstone ridden by Hugo Simon, with whom he won the first Volvo World Cup in 1979. Gladstone and Hugo Simon were over a decade nearly invincible in the international Grand Prixs. The Goldfisch II line has a tremendous influence in the international shows in dressage and jumping.”

THANKS @weixiao  Very interesting info :love-struck: and also very helpful for me keeping on digging into the pedigrees and relatives :applause:

We’ve had a lot of Gotthard blood both from a Graf Gotthard mare and a Gold Ferdl son we had for many years. The stallion fortunately took after his dam line (Furioso) in appearance, but the Gotthard line had substance and strength.
