Are there any cheaper alternatives to golf car rentals at AEC other than Dever? We are staying for the week at the KY Horse Park Campground and could really use one but at almost $100 a day that seems pretty steep! Any other companies in Lexington that will deliver to the campground? Biking doesn’t seem like a good option as we may need to carry saddles, etc. back and forth.
We found that the golf cart was really helpful, but were able to split it among the 5 of us from the same barn. Parking is tight each day for trucks/cars so being able to use the cart to take saddles back to our trailers for locking up at night was key. I don’t know of any other cart vendor that would be able to deliver there as I believe Dever has a contract with the KHP.
My husband and son both brought bikes too (my son competed) it was a nice distraction for down time and gave them both something to do.
