Good Breeding Vet in Harrisburg, PA area?

Looking for a good repro vet in the Harrisburg, PA area. Does anyone know more about Dr. Kraybill at Cumberland Valley Equine or Dr. Wisner at Green Glen Equine Hospital? Looking for someone with experience doing AI, fresh and frozen. TIA!

I think most are happy with both of these, I do not use either, as they are both a bit far, but both are well respected. I am in New Oxford , near Hanover and Gettysburg.

I dont know how far north you are from York, but Dr. Penny Grove is fantastic a repro. She was an associate of Dr. Hurtgen for 10 years and knows her stuff.

We’ve used Wade Wisner & Bob Kraybill. I recommend both. Likewise, Pete Sheerin, formerly an associate at & now the owner of Nandi Vet. He is a specialist, but I trust all 3 of these guys.

Hope that helps . . .

I don’t actually know Penny Grove (which is more a reflection on me than her.)

I use Green Glen (Dr. Wisner, Dr. Chang, Dr. McCubbin) for my horses, and love them. This spring will be my first breeding so I cannot speak to that, but I know two breeders that use then and are very happy. I never asked about frozen, and it is not listed as something they do on their website (they only listed fresh last I looked).

I have heard good things about Dr. Kraybill although he was slow to come out for an eye issue my future FIL had and they now use Green Glen as well. On his website he mentions experience with frozen. His vet tech, onelove, posts here so you could PM her.

Dr. Philip Hunt was referred to me as a repro specialist, but I believe he is further south and not sure he will travel up that far. I have his number, PM if you would like it.

Thanks for the information! Are the vets at Nandi Vet and Dr. Penny Grove easy to work with? What are their personalities like?

Dr Grove has been my veterinarian forever. I find her very practical and straight forward. She is very very good at repro!
