I’ve only known Dublin through her posts, but that was enough. Peace be with her, her family, and everyone whose life she has touched.

I wasn’t posting on this board when Dublin was, so our paths never really crossed (but I’ve been reading this thread and crying too - I’m sorry I didn’t get to know her) - but thought I would add here that many of the pictures that are missing from that thread are posted on Dublin’s picture site - the link is in her profile and I’ve posted it below.

Oh, no. I’m thinking of you as always, you’re in my thoughts and prayers.
I know how strong you are and how strong you’ve been.
I know her heart went to all horses, but she had a soft spot of OTTBs and Thoroughbred rescues. So United Pegasus would be very fitting.
While on that Thoroughbred note, one of the things we talked about very often was the disappearance of the TB in the show ring. I mentioned before that most of her horses were OTTBs, and you can see from her photo album that they were just the most gorgeous horses! She loved so much to do research on bloodlines and knew more about TBs than most people.
Wow…I’m glad I read this now, instead of at work tomorrow because I am now bawling. Dave, thank you so much for the update…how brave and selfless of you to be able to let go and encourage her to stop fighting.
Dublin, go and be at peace. And when you do get to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, give my Whitney a carrot and a kiss for me!

I am so sorry for your loss Dave…Godspeed Dublin. Bless you both.
Ride and let ride…
Oh Mr. Dublin, your tribute to Dee Dee brought me to tears… How wonderful to have such a beautiful relationship as you have with her.
My thoughts and prayers are with you… What a gift you both have been to each other. I am not one with words but my heart truly goes out to you.
Yes truly…Thank You Dave… for sharing DD with us!!!
I am going to miss her so very, very much.

I am in tears here; Dublin is desperately ill, but has she passed on? I read all these messages saying farewell, no disprespect <at all>, but has DD passed ? <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
No… I just edited the title of the thread to direct people to Weatherford’s update on page 13. It sounds as though it’s only a matter of time, though.
Wishing Dublin freedom from pain, and solace for her family…
What can I add to the eloquent posts already here? Godspeed, Dublin, as you make your last crossing…You will be missed, yet at the same time, I know you will be welcomed.
I’m so sorry, Dave. You and your family, and Dublin as well, will always be in my thoughts and prayers. She deserves everything that heaven has to offer her, she’ll be riding horses, healthy, happy, and pain-free forever now. Everybody that had the opportunity to know her and speak with her has been deeply touched by her words, and although we all wish her time on earth could have been longer, she has amazing people like Cactuskate waiting for her, welcoming her, and caring for her. I’ll never forget her. Rest in peace, dear Dublin.
So many have said it better than I but I feel all that has been said. God speed DeeDee and God Bless you David.

Glad she was a happy part of so many peoples lives, on the BB and in real life.
Sad about what she (and everyone) is going threw.
Damn, it’s pretty hard to type when you can’t see the screen anymore for the tears. Hmmmm…you know, it’s still hard, even when you know the end is near, to read the final page.
However, the pain is gone, and now there is only light and freedom…and all those lovely horses and dogs and family that have gone before to welcome our beloved Dee Dee to a new place. Hey DeeDee, would you mind giving True Love a pat for me and tell her I’ll see her again someday? It’s been 30 years, but I know she’s waiting. Have a ride if you want, she’s an awesome jumper.
David, thank you for letting us know-our Dublin was a special part of this community and she will be missed so much. My condolences to you and all your family members. The only thing good I can take away from all this is to see all the wonderful posts…she must be smiling reading all the thoughts people have put down here on this thread. We should all be so lucky to have this kind of love shown here. Here’s to you DeeDee, you were and are a class act.

This is one of those days that I wonder how the world can actually go on … sweet passing, and safe harbor, Dublin.
dublin, no words can express the sorrow i feel. Allthough i have never met you i do feel a deep connection. My prayers are with you and your family. We do loff you. I am only comforted by the fact that Cactuskate will be there.
Dublin’s signature quote at the end of Mr. Dublin’s post brought tears. From the beginning of my time on this BB, it appeared at the end of so many wise and wonderful notes from a true gentle soul.
God bless DeeDee and David, their families, and all who love them. Give them all strength to bear the future, and peace in their constant love.
