We had a Goodtimes colt this year from our maiden Karandasj x Fresco KWPN mare. He was born April 24th. I may be a little biased (his dam is my heart horse :D) but I absolutely adore him… he has a wonderful, anything-goes temperament and is a favorite at the vet clinic where they often traveled to for the mare to be bred back this year. He has a good trot and a lovely canter. He is a jumper prospect, but GT is also used extensively for dressage. I also know a very nice hunter by him! Obviously a very versatile sire.
I used him with an older-style, long-backed mare to shorten her a bit and lengthen the front leg. I am relatively new to breeding so I wanted to go with a more proven sire over a young sire with fresh bloodlines. I felt like GT was a good fit! She is 16.1hh but has a lot of bone. I was not looking to add height with GT but I am not super fond of tall horses (I am 5’2") anyway. This foal will probably mature around 16.1 (from the string test). From what I have seen/read, I wouldn’t worry about him taking away in height.
The foal looks a little thick through the neck at times (compared to my other foals), and that can definitely be coming through the dam. We will see what they say when they go to the keuring in September.
I believe Kathy has some really nice mares by him, so make sure to check out her website.
Here is an old thread that I took a lot of advice from when making my decision:

Here are some photos of the foal:

Good luck![/QUOTE]
Lovely guy! Yes, one of the major reasons I’m using GT is because of his versatility & disposition…and the fact his frozen is great!
If you will notice, I was the one who started that thread you referenced. If you look at the date, that was right about the time the economy tanked and folks (including me) cut way back on breeding…so I never followed through.
In fact, the mare I would use w/him was actually leased out for 2 years. But she’ s back & I think 2015 is THE year to finally breed to good old GT. The mare is very similar to yours, except chestnut. And she is dressage bred, but she & her foals seem to like jumping if you ask 'em to do it.
Also, this mare has babies that ANYONE can start & ride…they are so easy. One woman has bought two of them from me! I figure the GT cross will pretty much guarantee a talented, versatile horse of the ammie/low pro market.
Thanks for the pics.
