Google Experts! Help me find a "Pessoa Jubilee Master"

Hey there! I am looking for a rare type of saddle…and old Pessoa Jubilee Master. I have been all over the internet looking, to no avail. Anyone out there have any suggestions, or have seen any online shopping by chance…if so send me that direction please!

Did you ever call on this one?

Have you contacted a Pessoa rep as to which saddles are similar?
Also contact Pessoa UK as their saddle line up may be different than what is released in NA.

If you search the forum, there are some lists of Used Saddle Shops/Sites that have been generated - set up your email account so that requests go out monthly (or whatever time frame the individual shops suggest) to each shop.

Designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of presence of the PESSOA saddle on the world market, the Jubilee is manufactured on the base of the Amo saddle. Very soft seat and air-cushioned knee pads, in French full grain cow leather, first quality from the Chamont tannery. Knee rolls.

You might contact jn4jenny - if anyone can find you this saddle (or it’s twin) it would be her: I believe she has her Saddle Assistance for Charity Program up & running (that’s the descriptive title, I’ve no idea the proper name she’s chosen )

Please don’t, actually. It’s not up and running, when it is I’ll have a backlog of people on the waiting list, and I wouldn’t have taken a consult fee in this case anyway. The Pessoa Jubilee Master is a very rare saddle, and I can’t really help you find one. The OP already has the right idea: you put up a bunch of want ads, you Google the snot out of it, and you pray.

As a slightly easier alternative you could consider looking for a Pessoa AMO. The leather quality and workmanship on the Jubilee Master was a step up from the AMO, but otherwise they were very similar. You could also look at the new Pessoa AMO Professional, which has some nice design updates from the classic AMO.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I did see the one on Pessoa’s facebook page, but alas the wrong size. I did find an old A/O which is lovely, and a very similar saddle. I think finding a Jubilee Master is going to be pretty challenging!

Talk to Pessoa about having one “made” (it’s just a modified AMO after all) - BUT try their current saddle line first, they seem to have completely changed over to the adjustable gullet tree, so you make sure you like that first.

You could also contact Ruis Diaz - if he did manufacture the Jubilee, that may be another route.

(sorry that’s an old weblink, but may allow you to sort out current contacts).

If you haven’t already, post “Wanted” ads on all the main sites.

I have had two, I bought the first one new when they first came out, then a used one 10 years ago. The problem is the pommel leather rips. The bridle leather is so comfy but did not hold up. Good luck, you might find one intact!

I have been searching for several YEARS now for another 17.5" one. I finally located one earlier this year, but the seller wanted a pretty high price for it. It wasn’t as worn/patched as mine, but it wasn’t new, either, and I had to pass on it. I can see if can locate the contact info of the seller, if that is the size seat you need, and she if she still has it.

meant to provide this link ages ago & then forgot

The Jubilee made in England was a georgeous saddle. The leather was much nicer than what was typically produced. It had a smooth finish which is actually pretty rare. The body leather oiled up especially nice and was butter soft. If i had to make a comparison to another brand it would be the old Crosby Sovereign.
The panels and knee pads were a very fine french calf and the seat was a sticky bullhide leather.
It was available in two seat widths. 9" and 10", regular or long flaps, medium or wide tree and had a banana knee roll.
I would say that if that saddle was produced today it would retail for around $4,000.

I have one which I purchased when they first came out. I am the one and only owner and am a tack care freak. It is a 17" med tree and I have not used it for the past 4 years (still maintained and conditioned it). I was just about to list it on EBAY when a friend noticed this post. Please contact me if you are interested. I can email you pictures. It is in very good condition. Sad to be selling but my knees can no longer do the jumping thing

I have a 17" Jubilee master if anyone is interested. It doesn’t fit my horse so I’ve sadly decided to part with it. It’s in great condition. I can get you pics if interested.
