Gps tracker that attaches to halter/muzzle?

Has anyone ever heard of something like this - like one of the lost keys/wallet trackers, but rugged enough it can attach to a (lost) halter and withstand the rain? Specifically, looking for something to attach to the muzzle my horse takes off every other night in his large field; something that could get rained on for a night or two, and isn’t incredibly expensive (since he’ll probably destroy it too).

Any/all other ideas about finding lost muzzles in an (often-overgrown) field are welcomed. I’m out of ideas, and there’s nothing I can do to keep the muzzle on reliably.

Thanks!

The Tile Sport has a 200ft range. So, you still have to walk the field a bit, but even in a multi-acre field, that’s only a couple passes you need to walk.

Wrap a few surfaces with reflective tape, so as you pass a bright flashlight around the field it’ll light up. Even in tall grass, it’s likely that most of the time you’ll pick up some reflection.
And as a backup, you could also wrap some surfaces with glow-in-the-dark tape.

Coon hunters often put a GPS tracking device on their dogs collars because those very expensive dogs can run a far distance chasing raccoons and other prey they have been trained to hunt.

you might check into those:)

Another thing to look into is they sell tracking collars for cats. Maybe one of those would work?

I used to wrap bright orange vet rap around part of my horse’s cribbing collar so I could find it in the field. It definitely helped. Unless it was buried underneath snow.
