After reading the rule book a couple times, I still can’t figure this out- I want a young small pony to get some miles this year, and do her green year next year. Can she do 2’3" unrecognized classes at a recognized show without it counting as her green year, or only 2’?
She can only do 2 foot classes. You rarely see 2’3 classes anyway in my experience.

You can also reinstate the green status. I am a little rusty about rules the last 5 yrs or so, but it used to be 3 shows before a date in May and then the status reinstated by Nov 30th of that year.
You can do 4 shows before September 1 and still reinstate. But if you want to do the pony’s green year next year, I don’t see a reason to do that. Just show at 2’ this year.
