Grey breeches?

Oh I like this too. Presumably the full seat versions would be the same shade.

I guess it’s time for a trip to Dover! I don’t want to keep ordering things and having them be not the shade I want.

Looks like the full seats are on Amazon - not sure of your size but I felt they ran true to size. And cheap, or easily returned if you hate them:)

I tried a pair of those too, from Dover. They were so pretty and I loved the fabric but in one ride they chafed my nether regions so horribly that I could never use them again. The pair I got had a huge seam right through the middle of the crotch. I’m glad they’ve worked for you because they sure are pretty! FWIW the color was very similar to my steep grey Pikeurs.

Did you have the full seats? Wonder if seams differ between knee patch, which I have, and full seats. Regardless, cheap to try/easy to return. Sort of separately, I really hope more manufacturers produce new/varied color options for us with the rules change. I am so jealous of the gorgeous rainbow of TS options for the hunters!

Yes mine were full-seat and also silicone, not suede. They were sooooo nice, other than the whole crotch sores thing…

Yes, I originally hail from hunterland and am so spoiled by all the pretty colors of regular kneepatch breeches I have–rust and plum and mushroom and teal! So pretty!

Meanwhile, my fullseats and blue, blue, grey, grey, and very excitingly  olive! The only ones that really come in a lot of colors are the Pipers, and they fit me terribly–even with a belt they want to slide down my hips.

I have the Goode Riders Vogue full seat denim breeches and 2 pairs of SmarkPak all with silicone. I have worn them all quite a bit with no issue of the silicone coming off. My dressage trainer has the Good Rider ones and bought another pair in the taupe since she liked them so much. She rides 7-10 horses a day 6 days a week. They get heavy use. She will also wear the same pair of breeches twice in a week.

Back to the OPs question I have a pair of pretty dove grey SmartPak Pipers. I have them in both full seat and knee patch. They are the sueded not the silicone. I bought them a few years ago so not sure if they still have that color. It is very pretty.

Lovely horse. Is he a Standardbred?

Yes. New Vocations adoptee, Mach Three son, Lincoln Center. Pacer who is still working to carry canter longer. But he has a nice, three beat canter, just needs to build up how long he can hold it.

That’s the color I’d like. It’d be so pretty on my bay roan horse with his silver tail. And they look beautiful on you! :+1:

But alas, I have tried that brand and they don’t fit me, particularly in the length. And I like a higher rise. (Picky, aren’t I?)

i have to fold some of them up for my short little legs. oh, and lol… I have several Tuff Rider thick winter weight ones that have wider style hips, and on me they almost look like those old fashioned jodhpurs we used as kids. (i don’t have fluffy thighs). Mostly i buy for price, not fashion…not even fit actually. The only thing i want gray for is for if and when we enter a show.

Me either. There’s a reason I grew up being told it looked like I had “chicken legs put on backwards,”

Just like horses, humans come in all shapes and sizes. And fortunately, so do breeches. Just not always in a pretty silver gray!

I have a pair of Piper Classis in charcoal from smartpak. I really like the shade of grey.

Updating y’all! I tracked down a pair of the Pikeur Luganas in steel. I wore them with my green coat today. Really like the look–they’re still maybe a bit darker than I’d been thinking, but wow, so much easier not trying to keep white breeches clean while getting ready! It looks a little different but not too wild.
