Grounds pass question

what’s the safer bet?

Buy a Ticketmaster grounds fee for the extra $5 bucks service fee per person = $30

Show up at the gate and spend $25 at the KHP for grounds pass.

This is for Wed, Oct 6. Don’t want to show up and not get in. Is there a limit to grounds passes available per day?

Buy the grounds pass at the gate and save the $5. I doubt that there is a limit.

Seriously, I’m sure the WEG organizers would love to have the problem of running out of grounds passes - as would all the commercial exhibitors!

Grounds Passes for Fri Oct 1 were announced as “sold out” on Sept 5.

Haven’t heard about any other days.

OK, guess my advice is “call and check”.

Yipes!! guess i am shelling out the extra 5 bucks. Don’t want to be standing on the outside looking in!

seriously? I was planning on buying general admission tickets at the gate on friday. I tried to see if I could buy them through ticket master and it wouldn’t let me. Are they really sold out?

Well, ticketmaster wouldn’t let me by the friday general pass, so I bought eventing dressage for the afternoon. only $25 more, but not what I wanted. Better than getting a nasty surprise on arrival.

I bought general passes at my local Kroger for $25 today and they are good for any day except the 2nd and the 9th.

This.

I"m going to try and score tickets for eventing dressage tomorrow at the Cheapside 1/2 price kiosk tonight.

I just bought day passes on ticketmaster (pay the extra $2.75 to download) so I don’t know where the rumor started about sold out, but they are available on ticketmaster as of ten minutes ago and its Thurs at 4:23.

FYI, I just did not want to take a chance after travelling 5 hours to get there.

N

weird. It would not let me buy them last night.

Ticketmaster is not letting me buy them this morning (6:30 AM EST). I’m driving to KHP from Michigan today, and really hoped I could buy them at the gate. I never dreamed they would sell out general admissions.
Wow, this bites!

I would not bother going to the HP first! Find a Kroger nearby and get the ground passes at their customer service desk.

I ended up buying seats for the 2nd half of eventing dressage. We’ll be able to catch the last of the rides, and we’re guaranteed admission to KHP. It was a little more expensive, but it works.
Time to get in the 3 car and drive!

Just as an FYI - we’re now hearing that NO GROUNDS PASSES WILL BE SOLD for the 2nd and 9th. You must have an event ticket for eventing XC and driving marathon days to get in the main gate.
