And it was such a positive experience!
I am just blown away by how much fun it was. I’m taking a horse out this Saturday. Seriously, I’m giddy. Riding to hounds has been on the bucket list since I was maybe 10.

it’s tomorrow! The trailer is packed, the haynets are full, my sedately colored pullover I was told it was okay to wear is drying as we speak. . . I’m really, really excited.

Give us an update!
It was absolutely, positively, the best experience I have ever had on horseback. My 5 year old ottb in a snaffle was so, so good. He wanted to stay with the other horses, but not run up their butts and had no desire to be in front. Whether it was sliding down hills like the man from snowy river, mowing the lawn at a check, a handy canter across a field or fording a creek up to his belly, he took it all in stride and was looking for more when we went in. Then he took a nap at the trailer during breakfast.
our flight leader took such good care of us I never felt out of my depth or overfaced, and the hunt I rode out with is seriously the best group of people ever. I’m hooked.
