Anyone on here from Oklahoma???:) I am an adult rerider doing some research on hunter/jumper barns in the area for lessons. Does anyone have a recommendation?
I am in the Tulsa area, but Googling HJEO, then looking at the Facilities has a good few listed.

I would pick Cadence out of the bunch listed.
How far are you from eighteen acres (Tulsa)? I’ve always been really impressed with their turn out.
Eighteen Acres is Farewell Farm, and they are in Bixby.
They gear more towards showing and I would not really recommend them for re-riders. There are not that many adults there that just take lessons.
I am going to expand a bit:
Farewell is the place to go once you are ready to buy your own horse and are ready to compete at A rated shows. From my experience, that is where they really shine.
Now, if you are just getting back into horses and learning how to re-ride, there are a bit more beginner orientated places that have more school horses to choose from, and a wider selection of adults in a similar situation.
The Woodlands is pretty relaxed. Tracy Vaccaro-Dahlgren is great and has some lesson horses.
Thank you for the suggestions everyone! Yes eighteen acres/farewell farm would be a bit far for me. The Woodlands sounds good.
Who is at Cadence now? Although more QH oriented, you might check with Carrie Clune. Both places are in Edmond.
Thanks glaciergirl!
From what I see at the local shows, Cadence’s main trainers are Michael and Julie Gass. Rebecca Buchanan is another trainer, but I think she does more beginner orientated lessons?
Would anyone know of someone in the area who might let me ride on my own for practice (for free or pay per ride) to get some extra riding time? I plan on taking one lesson a week but would like to ride more often on a more flexible schedule before I think about committing to a lease.
