OK, we are looking for new management software for the barn. A few of the things we have found are an app for iPhone/iPad called Equisketch (but this would be hard for instance our business manager who hardly can use a computer), and online program called Paddock Pro, and Equine Max. There seems to be something else but I can’t remember now. We would love to find something to manage all the horses’ shoeing/meds/feed/supplements/vet appointments/on and on. IT would be nice if it was pretty customizable, could mange 75 horses or so, and it would be REALLY nice if it was web based or syncable so that no matter where someone accesses the program everyone will be up to date. Also makes it handy if for instance we are at a show and need to see the last time one had Adequan/Legend/Depo/etc and the barn manager isn’t available. Surely this exists! If not, I need to find a software programmer to develop it for me! So what’s the best?!?
have you looked into www.barnmanager.com?
it’s fairly new and i personally haven’t used it myself, but it seems to fit the criteria you are looking for
Your answer is www.rendaivu.com it does everything from horses to stable and barn management. There is also a phone app that manages the horse portion and syncs.
LaRaedo Barn Management Software
Have you checked www.laraedo.com? Our software is set up to handle all horse maintenance and has a calendar to keep everyone updated. Staff and Clients have their own log in access; it is totally web-based and accessible via any internet connected device.
You (and your clients) can upload photos and ‘important’ documents. Keeps everything in one easy to locate place. Second vote for Show Barn Manager.
I have heard good things about laredo and it seems reasonably priced. However, for those showing I looked at Show Barn Manager and it seemed to be more focused on showing
Hi,
You should look at Stable Secretary - www.stablesecretary.com . It tracks all of the health and service records for the horses in your stable, and also has an easy-to-use invoicing creation feature. It is highly customizable so that you can enter whatever feeds, meds, vaccines, etc you use in your stable. It will send you alerts for upcoming appointments (vets, dentists, farrier, coggins, etc), and will show you a list of what is coming up soon.
It’s available from any computer or tablet with an Internet connection, and also has a mobile app that works on the iPhone and the Android.
I designed it after years of experience as a client, groom, mucker, barn manager, assistant trainer, rider, and trainer operating her own business. It will continue to evolve based on feedback from users.
Visit www.stablesecretary.com for more details, or email sales@stablesecretary.com if you have questions.
Good luck!
Hi, you should definitely check out Stable Secretary www.stablesecretary.com.
It keeps track of all general info for your horses, manages all of their health and farrier records (past, present, and future), can manage however many horses you need, and is a web and mobile app so you can easily use it on the road. It’s very customizable, mobile, and easy to use. Plus it offers support, so if you have questions you can get answers!
I’m unearthing this thread because I’m in search of barn manager software and some of the links on here didn’t work, specifically Laraedo.
Has anyone actually used Barn Manager? I like that it’s more calendar-based and pretty easy to use, but I can’t find any testimonials on the website so I wanted to see what the COTHers thought!
bump
Anybody?
WOW, stable secretary is really expensive!! I have used HorseTrak for years, but ready to switch. I have not checked out all of the others.
Nicker notes
I have recently made the jump from rendaivu to stable Secretary. I did tons of research and am very happy so far. The site can be a little slow but the customer service is great and I just used it for billing for the first time and it has some extremely cool features. I can update from any computer, even from my kindle fire. So I am finding myself using it to record information that I used to forget.
Rendaivu is really dreadful to use. You have to get the entire barn to join and set up their accounts in order for the BM to use it to do any kind of invoicing. Way too much work.

What’s making you switch from Horse Track?
The price of Stable Secretary surprised me too! Definitely interested in a less expensive option, but hated using Rendaivu during my free trial.
What’s the difference between Show Barn Manager and Barn Manager?
Thanks for all the feedback by the way!
I found this article. Thought it might be useful, but I don’t have first hand experience with any of the products listed.

Horse Trak does not have any customer service and I am not sure it is still available. I used it for a number of years and it was fine for me and then had to purchase an updated version. This proved to me almost non-workable for me!! So, I am still on a search for new software. I want health records, farrier, billing…hope someone posts one they really love with customer support.
There’s a free app on the iPhone called EQStable - seems to be a good all around barn management
I love BarnManager.com! First off, its a flat rate no matter how many horses you have. The customer service is unreal! They held my hand through the whole process of setup and even offered to do it for me. I use it to keep track of my old guys in the paddock and I just recommended it to my trainer since they do billing as well. In my professional opinion as a web designer this program is better then the rest on the market! PM me!
