H/J lessons in Hartford, CT area

Hi,

Looking for a barn/trainer in the Hartford area that offers lessons and has lesson horses as I don’t have my own right now. For context, I recently moved here from a completely different part of the country and am not familiar at all with the Connecticut H/J scene. I haven’t ridden regularly for a few years, but previously was regularly showing in the hunters and IHSA. I’m living in West Hartford and willing to drive within reason. I’ve been away from the Connecticut H/J scene for a minute but I know these barns from when my daughter was riding and the professionals, seemed well, professional and the horses and riders well tended and prepared. :

Well-A-Way - had some lovely and competitive junior hunters back in the day
Folly Farm - always competitive locally
Windcrest - same
JJ. Lavieri - don’t know him personally but he’s a hoot by the in-gate
Larimar Show Stables - we rode there briefly. Solid professional, good care, goes to Fla and the away shows

Cedar Brook, hands down. I had my personal horse leased to their lesson program and they were incredible with communicating about him, sending me updates, and videos. Their students were kind, compassionate riders and I feel that’s the best testament you can give to a riding program. Plus Kristi is incredible for when you’re ready to lease or own your own and go to some more competitive shows.
