H/J Official Peggy Fackrell Set Down by USEF

I remember! It was a great song.

Not written about but there was more going on behind the scenes for a while here. She also was on a phone call and used the N word, then went on about how other officials and judges routinely use the word.

Hope that isn’t true, Peggy.

I don’t know her. And I don’t know every licensed official.

However, I can categorically say that I do not use that word, nor do the other licensed officials I work with on a day to day basis. Period.

I do not wish to be disrespectful, but Peggy is in her 80’s. Perhaps this is a sign that she needs to step down.

A question for our West Coast folks. Since Peggy is still allowed to manage her show series is there any local chatter that people might elect not to attend given these developments? Or efforts to have her step down from the management of those shows?

Oh Man… she seems a bit off her rocker… by a bit, I mean… WOW.

She honestly thinks that WEC went to NSBA bc of the SS/diversity training??? Pffft… yeah, ok, lady… nothing at all to do with the stupid mileage rules that people have been talking about for ages. But I digress…

Her shows are NSBA approved; if that matters.

I do not sense any talk of boycotting or removing her. Honestly, most of the Nor Cal H/J trainers are not too bright. Years ago there was a nest of them who claimed to be Libertarians; now they’re anti-vaxers etc.

I have been in the presence of a few that do, unfortunately

Independent contractors like her don’t have to take ‘diversity training’ or develop robust compliance and development content to retain clients nor talent. They are the brand, and discern over time that they can, in fact, make most or all of the decisions that effect their business.

They just don’t live in the ‘real world’ of a collective, a union, even a business bigger than, let’s say, 250 employees. At some point, the power splits and expertise broadens, or it withers and dies.

The COTH article has been updated with a statement from Peggy:

“I think they’re doing it to take away from the fact that they’re being attacked royally about the cost of horse shows, and they don’t like it,” she said. “They can’t come up with a good answer, and they can’t do anything about making managers charge less, but they could do other things, but they won’t. They won’t even talk about it. In order to take the heat off of them, they found a new target.”

Mm hmm…

Isn’t this called “deflection”?
