Had to create a new alias/screen name

I recently cleaned out a bunch of stored data from Chrome, and when I came to COTH today, I was able to log in with my old email and password, but I couldn’t post anything until I provided an alias/screen name. I was logged in; my name was at the top of the screen.

I tried just saying that I was a current member, but the field for my alias/screen name was blank.

I tried using my original screen name (Risk-Averse Rider), which I have been using for YEARS, but was told that screen name was in use.

Finally, I gave up and created a new one.

How do I get my old screen name (and non-greenie) status back?

That happened to me after one of the changes years ago.
I ended up needing to make a new name, the current one.
The problem then, it keep saying my email was already registered to use my old name and password.

Finally the then Moderator straightened that out, but had to do so with the new, now current name.

I had never posted under the old name, so no question about former number of post.

I would suggest you try to PM the Moderator for assistance, if you don’t get a response thru this thread?
