Hair damage from helmets? Headbands?

Anyones helmets cause hair damage? More specifically around your hair line? I wouldn’t say that my riding helmet does. But I work in aviation and my flight helmet pretty clearly damages my hair. It’s not a fit issue as my helmet fits perfect; it’s simply a matter of how it has to fit and liner material that keeps my hairline broken and thinning. It’s crossed my mind that my riding helmet may contribute too. But I’m looking for ideas on headbands of sorts to help protect my hair. Anyone have any ideas?

As with your flight helmet, moto helmets are less breathable and more compressive than equestrian!

I wear a helmet liner and find it helps a lot; both riding my horse and my bike. I have a heavier one for the winter time if I am out of the indoor.
