My brother got me a Back On Track baby pad for my birthday (yay!) but horse hair sticks to the bottom something AWFUL! Lint roller isn’t close to up to the task, brushing and even trying to pull loose with my fingers doesn’t do much either.Even after washing, most of it is still stuck. Given that it is now time for horsey to start shedding… Is there a trick to de-furring or should I just tell horsey to deal without it until he’s done shedding?
Vacuum cleaner is the best way I have found
A rubber or plastic curry comb gets most of it off for me. I love these pads!
Jelly scrubber and then vacuum is what I do.
Here on COTH, people were really talking up that Tiger Tongue sponge…I wonder if something like that would do the job? perhaps someone with one can weigh in?
I put it in the dryer on the no heat setting.
I use a vacuum. My vacuum hose broke and I had to go back to trying to brush it off. The vacuum does a better job.
The Tiger Tongue is awesome for cleaning hair off of saddle pads. Also great at removing shavings from the BOT leg wraps.
I use a wire dog/cat slicker brush.
I wish BOT would make a thinner “liner” or “baby” type pad to go under a show pad. It would be so much easier to wash, and so much prettier in the show arena. I don’t use mine any more because it is such a bear to launder - so stiff. (but he wears a BOT mesh sheet for 45 min b4 I ride…)
I’ve had one of the original BOT pads for several years, and use a curry to get the hair off. But I’ve noticed that BOT offers baby pads, which might be able to be used as a liner pad, and has new “Night Collection” pads that are decorative.
I may try one or both of these the next time a vendor is having a promotion.

I have an earlier version of this pet hair remover:
https://www.griotsgarage.com/product/silicone+interior+brush.do
It is AMAZING. It’s basically like a rubber curry, but there’s something about the shape of the rubber bristles that really grabs the hair.
It also works well to remove pet hair in your car.
I have a similar brush to the one posted by Pico Banana it’s made by Haas and it does a great job of removing jar from the BOT pads. After I use it, I also use the sweeper for the dust, dander and dirt.
