Half Chap suggestions

Hi All,

This might be a silly question but I am Looking for some suggestions on half chaps. I have always ridden in Ariat or Treadsteps, but am finding them a little thicker then I want to ride in - I know I know, princess and the pea.

Does anyone have any suggestions on thin/close contact half chaps? I have nice full chaps that are thin, but I haven’t found anyone to make them custom

The other catch, I need something tall, and wide as I am tall with fat calves!

Any nice half chaps out there that I’m not thinking about?

ProChaps are amazing! Lots of sizes, and a stretch panel to give a close fit. I have had ProChaps for nearly 20 years and when it’s time to replace a pair, I always choose them again.

Seconding prochaps!

My day to day riding pair is blundstones (steel toe - mostly because I have a safety boot allowance at work so they’re free), and Prochaps. Great zipper and thin enough I feel the horse but not thin I’m wearing through them. I think I’ve had mine for nearly ten years now and they’ve worn like iron.

I guess I never really thot about pro chaps! I’ll take another look into them! Thanks
