Half pad and riser pad AND full pad

Am I allowed to put a half pad and riser pad over my full pad in a hunter show? My horse has a weird back and she needs both at home. Would that be allowed? Also if anyone has a link to a full pad with a built in riser or half pad so it wouldn’t look as terrible that would be great!

Is it a rear riser? I’d recommend going on Wilkers website and looking at their options for show pads, they make them semi custom with extra padding certain places, rear risers etc

In the US the rules don’t prohibit it if that’s what you’re asking. Most people in the hunter division use a white fleece shaped pad (not square), though that’s not technically required either.

I’ve seen white fitted show pads with white riser pads or white half pads on top. I have not seen a show pad, half pad, and riser pad (so three saddle pads total if I’m understanding correctly). I doubt there is a rule against it and think it would just be trying to make everything look as unobtrusive as possible.

They do make fitted pads with half pad foam or shim pockets, think Ogilvy makes one I’m sure there are others. Depending on your needs for the pads you may want to look into thicker shims. I just ordered the thick Prolite shims from Chester Horse and they are THICK which could maybe eliminate the need for the riser and half pad if you find a fitted pad with shim pockets (again I think Ogilvy would work but I don’t have one).
