Hi all, my horse is going to be in a gymkhana play day/halloween costume contest. I am looking for costume ideas for horse that would be compatible with gymkhana events (barrels, poles, keyhole) and fun. She is a tall Chestnut OTTB and in the past made a very nice giraffe- I dressed as a person on safari complete with binoculars and pith helmet. I might do the giraffe thing… or maybe something else. Would love to hear of other halloween get ups for horse/rider- and please attach pictures!
I’ve always wanted to do “My little pony of the apocalypse”. Horse all dolled up in glitter and ribbons, rider dressed as death, famine, war, or conquest.
Halloween is almost here!!!
Well I dressed up in full beekeeper regalia (including the big screen hat). Back of Jacket read “Queen Bee Staff” and Angel was the Queen bee with black and gold stripes, antenna (black gear ties with gold tack sponges stuck on top), gossamer wings, and a Stinger!!! She was so cute. Then we did the gymkhana (barrels, poles, and keyhole race). I had to take off her bee stripes but she had her antennae on the whole time. Very fun costume. We got second place in the costume contest! In between events she was giving a friends six year old pony rides.
