Halloween costumes

What a great memory!

Hi visually impaired here (but not blind).

Grey area IMO. 3 Blind Mice is better - but has a really odd history as well: The mice are believed to be three Protestant loyalists who were accused of plotting against Queen Mary I (1516–1558), also known as “Bloody Mary” due to her penchant for torture including burning of hundreds of Protestants at the stake as she worked to return England to Catholicism.

But just a random blind person - insensitive and a bit f*cking weird.

In the same vein as I wouldn’t dress up as as a Quaker practicing, 50 year old lady of a different race than my own (a similar suite of protected classes of human being that are characteristics outside of the control of that person like a disability) as a costume.

We did this for Easter one year. Took our animals to the neighbors house to play with their grandchildren.

My horse looks like a grumpy bunny but she actually seemed to enjoy the attention. Of course, that’s the same stellar pony.

I’m planning on writing ‘Unexpected Vet Bill’ on a piece of paper and safety pinning it to my sweatshirt for the barn party.

Wear RED.

Manhattan makes a better Wayne than I do Garth

He accepts me anyway

(also while Garth probably would have worn a band t-shirt under his flannel, I went with a Betty Boop “Not my first rodeo” because it was perfect for me and Manhattan)

Thank you everyone for the great idea.
Here is my Queen of Hearts costume with my trusty steed.

That’s adorable! And a very handsome steed, he is, too.

Can anyone help me find an idea I saw somewhere online recently? I thought it was here, but I couldn’t find it again. It may have been at a charity horse show somewhere? Someone dressed their horse up as a unicorn, and they were the “ISO Unicorn” horse shopper. Did anyone else see this, and know where it was or how to find it again?

I thought I was being clever with my costume, until I found out that “A knight on the tiles” is not an expression around here

Mark and I were the Headless Horseman this year for trick or treat! It was a big hit, all the kids loved him!
The costume is 25yrs old, my 4-H club worked at a haunted house as the headless horseman (yes on horseback!). My Dad and cousin made the costume.

I think we have a winner!! I haven’t gotten to dress up my boy yet as I was home sick with a cold yesterday, but I have everything ready so may try to get some pics tonight even if I don’t feel up to riding.

Ok, halfway. A friend and I had planned to dress up together but had to scrap those plans, so I just did my horse quickly last night. My in laws are doing a party this evening and I plan to be Agnes from Despicable Me so you can guess how those go together

My unicorn caught in an Acme unicorn trap made of dreamcatchers since he is a dream come true

My neice was a storm trooper and her pony was Darth Vader. My mom made the Darth Vader costume:

These are all so much fun!

Costume classes from our year-end show last week. I promised my horse after last year he did not have to participate again (he didn’t think the others’ costumes were funny) but I do know a few characters rather well

Looks like everyone is having such a good time! I love the Grinch. I don’t think I could ride with a mask on, though. But it’s great! The traffic cone is good, too!!

I LOVED Lightning McQueen and his traffic cone! But, yeah, I’ve no idea how the kid rode with it. Of course, 10yos adapt

Ah, to be a kid again! :yum:
