HALO Joint Supplement

Has anyone on here tried this supplement? I am interested to know if it actually works and is worth the money. I want to put my younger horse on a joint supplement as just a preventative to help with his joint health and stumbled upon this supplement. The company says it has 200 mg HA per ounce, but how effective can the absorption rate be if it is just a feed through supplement? Opinions?

I am always looking for joint supplements that have HA in them as seems a lot do not. I feed Actiflex 4000 and it has 125 mg of HA, bit most importantly it is a creamy liquid and is so easy to use they love it. I will definitely be looking into HALO. I am not sure about the absorption rate effectiveness. I haven’t generally found more then 150 HA in a supplement.

I went to a horse expo this weekend, and all of the vets presenting (including the vet that cared for U.S. Olympic Horses) said that there is no scientific evidence that shows oral supplements work.
Both vets I listened to said that if you want to see results, use injections, otherwise you’re just wasting your money…

I am sure some people won’t agree, but I am making the switch from oral supplements to supplements that are injected. There is an intramuscular injection for Adequan (sp?) that is supposed to be great for joints. That is what I plan on switching to.
