Halter for a dainty head

Anyone know of halters that are a little thinner than traditional for a horse with a dainty cob sized head? For reference she has just broken her old warmblood yearling halter. Would love something with soft leather and colored padding.

Double stitched instead of triple stitched maybe? Is that a thing?

I have this halter for my petit gorgeous headed Arab. I love it

I used a 3/4" Perri’s for my dainty mare.

Any of the halter makers that do custom work could probably do the same for you.

They are less robust because the leather is thinner, though, so if her halter breaking is a habit, you may want to address that behavior first with something else.

She broke it at the stress point on the crown leaning in the trailer. She is not a halter breaker. Next time we ship I’ll use something else.

I was going to post the same halter. I love the one I have and it is still in great shape after 14 years!

Shop Arabian horse tack.

Yes! That’s what I use too. They wear like iron, too, other than a couple of broken crown pieces thanks to Feronia being silly.

Several of the halter makers do a rolled nose. I have one from Ocala Tack Shack that is super pretty as well. I love it…going to buy my pretty-headed youngster one soon!

My little guy just got a new halter from Fennell’s. They make a nice 3/4" halter. They wear like iron.

Tack Shack of Ocala offers an Arabian halter that has not only a rolled nose but also a rolled crown. The remainder of the leather is 3/4" instead of 1", which makes the halter that much more flattering on a dainty head. It is absolutely lovely and much higher quality leather than the Billy Royal linked above (I’ve owned that one, too):

This style isn’t listed on their new Amazon store format, but I messaged their Facebook page, and they said you can still get this style by requesting it in the comments of your order.

I’ve also found Tack Shack of Ocala just super responsive via the chat option on their site. They actually added a piece of tack there after I asked about it.

I think this the halter, just with the flat crown?
