Hands-On grooming gloves?

A friend gave me a pair of gardening gloves from the dollar store. The kind with pimple grip palms. My sensitive skinned horse loves these and because they are so soft, you can get into all of the nooks and crannies on their faces and legs. They also pull off a surprising amount of hair given that the pimples are pretty small. They also pull off a lot of dirt. almost like using a rub rag with a bit of currying capability. Plus they are inexpensive (ok cheap) and go through the wash.

That’s a great idea!!!

I love mine. My horse likes them far better than other shedding tools. Added bonus that they are fantastic for bathing.

My horse hates curry combs, but loves Farnam Slick 'N Easy Horse Grooming Block. It works wonderful for shedding and makes him “drop” every time. It is small, cheap and can be reused many times!

I’m neutral on them. I just don’t find myself reaching for it over other tools like a tiger tongue (dried dirt) or soft rubber curry (shedding). For a sensitive horse I can definitely see the pull.

I have them, and my horse also hates them. I can only use them to scrub his legs. He’s a sensitive guy and they are just too hard for him, no matter how lightly I work.

That being said, he hates most grooming tools at this point, so…

My super sensitive horse also doesn’t mind the metal curry that looks like a blade - I think because I can run it over his skin super lightly, yet still be effective.

My senior tolerates a light currying, but leans into the regular metal shedding blade until I reach his belly n spine, so I am hoping the gloves will be easier on him and he will learn to loosen up and relax with the gloves.

That’s my senior lol! My pony I know won’t mind them and it will be an easy way for me to go over both of them daily when I bring them in so I know they are at least getting a quick groom daily without me having to switch between currying and different brushes while trying to hurry up n get them done and the kids to bed at night. 😂😂😂 The pony will probably try to eat them! I was going over the senior with a shedding blade yesterday and pony wanted to play with his halter. Senior kept biting at him and basically saying no go away!! Pony gave up, and grabbed the lead rope off the ground (senior stands good as long as halter n lead are on) and tried to walk off with senior!!!

I have them and have used them a lot. Horses love them. They make it easy to get into nooks and crannies, and are easier on my body,to use than a curry.

I have to hide them though. They get “borrowed”.

I have 4 pair and love them, so does my mare!

I picked up a pair at a 2nd hand sale, not knowing anything about it or what brand. I paid $5.00.

I love it. It is so good to just use one finger softly in the nook and crannies or the whole palm on the rump.

It is my go to. I didn’t like that the tiger tongue disintegrated.

They came in Monday!!! O. M. G… my guys love them!!! My senior stood there for 5 min after I was done like why did you stop??? I had all the stone dust from rolling off my pony in 5 minutes! I am ordering 3 more pairs for my friends lol!!
