Have you ever brought a hammock to a show? I was thinking about bringing one to a show coming up, but how would I hang it? Baling twine? Double ended snaps? Zip ties?
Which are most reliable for holding up the weight of an adult human?

They make actual straps for hanging hammocks on trees, so probably I’d go with that if it works for whatever you’re attaching to at either end.
I have some straps like this that would likely work, along with heavy duty caribiners, depending on what the attachment is like on the hammock side:

A triple loop of standard bailing twine on either end would certainly be enough to support a person, even a large one as long as your knot is good. A standard snap? It would probably work until it didn’t. Don’t hang it too high. Get a couple climbing carabiners if you want a human-rated quick disconnect. A big zip-tie would be strong enough, but if it were me, I’d want two on each side, just for safe-keeping. The big ones aren’t cheap, and bailing twine is a natural resource.
Climbing carabiners would be my bet.
The kids bring them to EVERY show. They just use the tree straps and carabiners that come with the hammocks. You’ll need big climbing carabiners (like $10/piece usually) and the straps you can get on Amazon for $30 or less. Bear Butt is a good brand. The tree straps are infinitely adjustable and will certainly loop around posts. Great for naps!
A good alternate to purchase is to use your cargo straps.
