I just picked up a Happy Mouth D Ring HB-2445-SP from our local tack store.
Here is a link to a picture of the bit model.

Question: Have you noticed that the bars are not the same length? The right bar is 3 1/2" and the left bar is 3 1/4". This is the measurement from the outside of the plastic all the way to the end of the snaffle break.
It seems weird to me that they are uneven. Wouldn’t it break to the left of the mouth? Isn’t it supposed to break in the middle?
I could understand a difference of an 1/8" but 1/4" difference?
The bit is a 5" (12.5CM). What say you all? Do you think it is defective or have I forgotten the action of a regular snaffle?
I am used to a french link so I haven’t seen a regular snaffle up close in awhile.
