Happy to revisit this pair

This was so enjoyable to revisit this morning. I’m sure they aren’t perfect (and I would hardly know as a 2nd level rider.) But they were a joy to watch. When I watch them, I see definite harmony and an inspiring partnership

IMHO there is nothing as good as a great mare dancing to HER music. And I’m not ashamed to say I have tears running out of my eyes.:love-struck::love-struck::love-struck:

@gailbyrd I am glad I wasn’t the only one, definitely had some tears too!

They just look like such a happy partnership ❤️❤️

I just watched this and admit I teared up too. What a lovely pair! I had a warmblood mare with a ‘B’ name around that time, and I can’t tell you how much I aspired to be Debbie McDonald when I grew up!

I saw this live! I don’t get out a lot to shows, either, as far as “big” shows, 2005 World Cup and the Tryon WEG are the only ones. The ride really brought the house down. It was just so refreshing. Ride after ride of variably tense, kinda robotic horses (although perhaps more technically correct? I’m no expert, either), uninspired elevator-type classical music or insipid pop tunes, grim riders, polite applause. Then this. A treasured memory for me and I’m sure many others!

That was very enjoyable.

I was also also really impressed with this pair locally. Peggy and Perry Thomas put together a benefit evening in Hailey (ID). Debbie and Brentina rode a freestyle in front of and accompanied by a full symphony orchestra. It was broadcast locally…it was spectacular.

Good to hear Brentina is still alive and doing well.
