Spinoff from the auction thread - has anyone been to a Harvard Horse Sale? Any comments? This one is not too far from me and would be an easy drive.
See my post on your other thread.
Steve Friskup has been in horse sales for decades, he knows horses, he knows his sellers, you can consult with him, tell him what you want and I would not be scared to have him advise how to go about finding the horse you want.
We used to just call him with what we needed and he would buy them, or find someone to do so at the sale and they were exactly as he represented.
Don’t know if he still may do that, but he can sure answer any questions you may have.
With internet catalogs and buyers from all over, I don’t know how horse sales are today, have not been to any for long time now.
My health is not the best and going to horse sales can wear you out.
I had a heart attack at a horse sale.
In today’s sales, the really nice horses getting scarcer for the higher demand out there, with people buying for others, with smart phones taking videos and pictures on the spot and the buyers in some other part of the country then deciding if they like the horse and how much to bid, they are not your old two bit sale, but a more sophisticated market.
