Has American Pharaoh passed on his spped and charisma?

While we’re discussing Triple Crown winners, are any of American Pharaoh’s get racing yet? I’m wondering if he will have the same success as a stud.

American Pharoah’s oldest offspring are yearlings this year. The ones I’ve seen look great and appear to share his athleticism. But it’s really too early to be able to tell much about their racing ability.

His first foals are yearlings. No one is racing yet. Hopefully others have heard more about their type and personality, I don’t have any firsthand experience with any.

ETA: oops! Typing at the same time as Laurie!

He won the Triple Crown in 2015, bred mares in 2016, foals born in 2017, so in 2018 they are yearlings. They are selling well at auctions, so whatever “charisma” is wrt race horses, I guess they got it.

Even after those that are ready start racing late next summer or early fall, it will take at least two or three more crops to get enough of them out and racing to pass any judgement. Breeding and waiting for meaningful results is not for the impatient.
