I found out a local farm will be hosting a clinic with Hawley Bennett in April and I am toying with riding in it. I am looking for any feedback before i commit. I have heard horror stories about some of the H/J clinicians being awful clinicians so I want to do my homework.
Background info on me. I am VERY new to eventing (as in less than 6 months into it). My horse is a 16 yo sassy but super game TB who was my adult hunter in our previous life. I completed two events at starter this fall, doing what I consider very well (stayed on and didn’t cry!).
We definitely need help, so I was hoping her clinic would be a good place to start provided she is kind and positive. I dont mind tough or challenging as my horse is super game , I just will not tolerate being belittled or screamed at and I don’t want to be in over my head and get us scared. I am comfortable over starter courses, and have schooled some BN stuff (ditches, banks, etc) but we are still very, very new to this.
So any feedback would be appreciated!
