Has anyone tried BootBands for too-tight boots?

I bought a pair of off the rack Parlanti KK-Boots, unfortunately for me one of my legs is around 2.5-3cm larger than the other - the NZ Parlanti REP promised that the boots would stretch to fit my larger leg aswell as being a nice fit on the skinny one… And ordered them in from Italy since there were none in stock
I have been able to get the zip done up but I keep busting the zip, so I need ideas on how to make it fit!

I came across the ‘BootBands’ that look like they could do the trick, has anyone tried these on long boots or Parlantis?

My daughter’s Sergio’s were too tight. She took the hose, filled up her boot while she was wearing it, and wore it for a few hours til it was dry. Did the trick!

Are your zippers breaking? I would find a good shoe repair store and get better zippers. Most boots have really cheap zippers. And take care of your zippers by brushing out dirt regularly and using a zipper ease product or candle wax-something that makes it glide. Good luck!!

You can buy shoe stretch at Nordstrom’s shoe store. Works a lot better and quicker than walking around in wet boots for hours.

The boot stretch stuff is essentially isopropyl alcohol and water, i.e. rubbing alcohol. Put in spray bottle and apply. If you don’t want to fill your boots up with water, getting your socks wet before you put the boots on will have a similar effect. Or, spray your socks with rubbing alcohol.

this. spray the inside of the boot with your mixture and then put the boot on. do this a few times and you should be good.

Will this work if I cannot even get the zipper up on one boot?

It might. Spray the sock all the way up and spray the inside of the boot. Maybe a couple of times.

I couldn’t get the zip up on one of my boots so my tack store stretched them for me. A good show repair should be able to do this for you as well . I just had to leave my boot with them until they dried , it was on the boot stretch for approx 48 hours and voila, zipped up tightly but not impossiblely tight

From the website, it looks like BootBands are aimed at fashion boots (which of course don’t undergo the stress placed on riding boots).

they also don’t look the right shape to me, wouldn’t you want it wider over the calf area and then getting narrower again behind the knee? Not sure I would want a huge gap behind my knee.
