Looking for anyone who’s used this on their mares in lieu of Regumate? What have your experiences been like? TIA!

If you search “iupod” , you’ll see a bunch of different posts where it was mentioned in comments, so maybe there’s good info in those comments
Yeah, I did the search where there were some comments about “I’m going to try that next” or similar, but then nothing about if anyone followed through or feedback…
I was probably one. Per our local reproductive vet we went with the Alternogest microparticle injection first and that has been successful and well tolerated for my mare. I asked my vet about trying the iUPOD as it would save cost but she looked me in the eye and said you’ve been through hell with this mare and now are able to ride all the time, don’t change anything. Ha, I appreciate her so much so we are staying the course with monthly injections.
A clinician I ride with has a mare on it and is happy with it. I don’t have much details other than she’s had 2 insertions and done well with it.
When I was looking into this, I directly messaged people who looked like that had experiences with it. I didn’t come up with much either, and the answer for my mare was a complete ovariectomy anyway. What I can recommend is calling some repro specialists to ask them about their experiences. I talked to many - not even as a client/patient - and so many were very helpful with figuring out my mare. I am super grateful for their generosity with their knowledge and time.
Watching with interest as I have considered it. I believe my vet also said it’s hard to get these days. Maybe that has changed since we last discussed it.
