has anyone used Smartdark & handsome?

My dark bay is horribly sun bleached. I’m starting him on Smartdark & handsome. Has anyone had good results form this supplement? And has anyone started it after the horse is already sun bleached? I’ve heard you can’t do much once the horse is bleached but I read a couple reviews saying this supplement did improve their sun bleached horse once they started it. It’s probably wishful thinking that this will improve his color cause I’m starting it late but wanted to know what others experience has been with this supplement. Thanks!

EAsier and cheaper to add polysaccharide copper and p-zinc, which are the usual deficiencies for major fading.

You can’t change the hair that’s there now, but it’s right in the time where you will start affecting the next coat, and then every coat after that. Horsetech, Uckele, and California Trace all have p-copper and p-zinc. 1/2tsp of each is what I use. I mix them 1:1 by volume, and use a full tsp serving.

Not sure about the smartpak one but I’ve known other horses on coat supplements year round. They do help but don’t stop sunbleaching all together. The horses just aren’t as sun bleached as the ones not on a supplement. Depending on how important it is to you I’d suggest getting a fly sheet with high UV protection. I recently got a blue one for a black pony. I can already see the blue shifting to purple from the sun but the pony is still jet black.

I was really hoping this was referring to some great new dating app.
