Has something changed?
This morning, I was logged out, the system did not remember password, and the layout is all different (flatter, more spread out)…oh, and no ads on the right hand side.
Mine is the same. I don’t like it! I have to zoom out so that the entire forum shows horizontally.
I was still logged in this morning but the board sure does look different. Very wide, well past where the green bars even went before. I like it actually. Can it stay like this?
Edit to add: OK, I like it less now. No matter how wide I stretch my screen it will not allow the whole forum to show.
Yuck. Hate it.
My browser can’t stretch enough to accommodate it either, regardless of whether I’m using Chrome or Firefox. What happened?
They’re probably moving things around, which has temporarily upset the balance.
Assume and hope this is temporary - also cannot see the right side without scrolling. Not very good on iOS either.
This is the way it used to look. LOL! When they put the ads down the right and scrunched it up people hated it.

I liked the other way better. This is way too hard to read across the whole screen. I never minded the ads on the sides as long as they are not animated. It shows some products that I would not have otherwise looked at.
It appears that they are changing over to a fluid, responsive layout to better work on different mobile devices. They def don’t have the kinks worked out, though, at one point all of the type disappeared for me!
Some pre-tinkering warning would have been nice.

Me either.
I like that it is wide format.
The only thing I am not liking is that there is no way to make it so you do not have to scroll horizontally. I maximized the viewing window so it was the whole screen and I still have to use the scroll bar to see everything.
I love it! Look at all this real estate! I remember the screaming and crying and general gnashing of teeth when they made it so narrow several years ago :lol:
I have very minimal horizontal scrolling, requirements, though? The only thing I can’t quite get to, even with the window minimized, is the little green thumb (or anything else waaaaaay on the right side of the screen like that.)
I hate this. The links to the stories are gone from the right side of the page. I can’t deal with such a wide layout on my monitor and have to scroll.
Please let this be only temporary.
I was blaming the Windows update that I just got!
Nope, did not look like this. was wider, but not fixed width, which is what this is right now - you can’t shrink it to fit in your browser window. Many useful tools are hard to use - like the scroll bar on the forum jump pulldown at the bottom of the page.
Would be nice if they came on and acknowledged that they are working on it.
Also very cramped with the displays of threads top to bottom - much hard to scan than it used to be.
Not crazy about it either. With the full width displayed, it is too small to comfortably read. Then if I enlarge it to read, I have to scroll left to right to see everything, and that’s annoying.
