Putting this here to hopefully get more views. I have a Hastilow Concept jump saddle that I need to get a different gullet for. I can’t find any information on if they take the S bar or the R bar though. I emailed Hasitlow USA and haven’t heard back. Anybody know for sure which one I need?
I have a Hastilow jump saddle (not 100% sure on the model) but I was told by the saddle fitter to get the S bar, which worked great.
They are different sizes. There are two screws under the pommel of the saddle. Unscrew them and put the panels down off the tree points. The S-Bars are about 6" long, the R-bar is about a foot. It is most likely an S-bar but it is very easy to check.
I just emailed Brenda this past weekend to ask (and she got right back to me, so I’d send again if you want to confirm). My Concept Reflex Jump takes the S bar.
It looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/25Ds5
So must be the S-Bar.
I have always got prompt responses from Hastilow in the past as well, I will try emailing them again.
Don’t all the Hastilow jump saddles use the S? That’s what I thought.
That is an S-Bar.
My understanding is that if the saddle has a round cantle it takes an R-bar. Square cantle takes an S-bar.
