Hate New Saddle

I just got a new jumping saddle and I absolutely hate it. I asked a non horsey person to buy it for me and so thats how I ended up with it. The flap is extremely long and makes the saddle look more like a dressage saddle than a jumping one (I think it was made for someone with extremely long legs). Also it is too long for me. I am 5’4 and although I do have long legs it is still way too long. Unfortunately I can not return it as I bought it from another country. Is there anything I can do about this? Maybe replace the saddle flaps?

Sell it and buy one you like that fits you and your horse.

Brand?

Does it fit the horse though?

Yes it does

Passier Avior

Is it more if a visual problem or is it affecting your riding? If the former you’ll get used to it. If the latter then contact your Passier rep and ask about whether they can change the flap.

I agree with xanthoria, if it is not affecting the riding just go with it, you will get used to it. If it is, either sell it or talk to a really experienced saddle fitter(or preferably leather worker/saddle maker) they should be able to shorten the flap.
