Haulers running north/south routes?

Hi,
Not sure if this is the proper forum, but I need a 2 yr old Oldenburg gelding hauled to Oxford, Michigan from the Terrell/Rockwall area in Texas (about an hour east of Dallas). I am having a HECK of a time finding a hauler to do it, unless the buyer pays a PREMIUM for the route.
Anyone have any ideas? Would like to have him hauled this month.

Thanks!
Kathryn

Not sure if they would do it, or what it would cost. But maybe talk to Brook Ledge? They took a yearling for a client from southern Canada to Houston. Excellent service, people and communication as well; loved working with them as I was pretty stressed to have a youngster on such a long trip.

Thanks - Brook Ledge will do it. Its SUPER expensive though. So hoping we could get a few more quotes.

I’m in a similar situation, trying hard to get 2 home from Middleburg.

Equine Express is my first choice for TX trips. Have you checked with them?

I’ve also used Cox to run a route very close to the one you’re looking at, with great results. The trailers weren’t quite as shi-shi as some, but the guys hauling were indeed horsemen. Young, inexperienced colt, uncut, hopped off the trailer in perfect shape. They’d be my close second for what you need, and would be an economical option to boot.

Good luck!

I second equine express. Had a great experience with them and they are based out of texas.

Check with JD Hughes at Cowboy Express Horse Transport. He is based out of central Ohio. He does a fantastic job and is very reliable and honest.

I would give Equine Express a call. As they are based in TX they make north/south trips.

My experience with Cox was not a good one. Totally agree on the not so shi shi trailer, but disagree on the great ending and horsemanship.
