I don’t have Instagram, but the kids at my barn are obsessed with her! (mostly in a, I can’t believe the sh!t this girl does without a helmet, shoes, pants, etc… kind of way)
I tried to hate her pictures, but some of them are kind of adorable.
looks like they’e all photo shoots, not your everyday riding… not that it’s right to be w/o helmet but sometimes I feel the same way when I was some TV shows - people driving w/o seatbelts, yacking on cell phones.
That account kind of gives me a weird vibe.
Sorry, but rearing on the road with no tack with a car in the background seems stupid to me, helmet or no helmet.
Teaching a horse to rear, period, is stupid. Unless you’re a professional stunt trainer and that horse will be yours until the day it dies.
I have to admit I trained my first pony to rear when I was a kid. It was great fun, at least until my mom found out. I would NEVER do such a thing for the last twenty-odd years, but it wasn’t the worst thing in the world.
He went on to jump around for me in the 3’9 jumpers for years, then worked his way down to toting short stirrup kids around for another decade until he died at 34 on the farm. It didn’t ruin him and he never reared again once my mom got through with me. Which is all this kid needs, a good roasting from her betters for teaching her pony something it ought not to do. They clearly have a partnership that is a pleasure to see; it’s up to her to be smart enough to stick a helmet on (always) and find something else cool to teach the pony.
