Posting here to be sport-specific. Have you used Bute Less and what did you think? I have a horse that cannot take Previcox or Bute. Stomach issues with them even on Succeed daily.
I tried a very similar product, vitamins, Devils Claw and Yucca. To my eye, it didn’t do much and Devils Claw is an NSAID related type drug and can effect the tummy… less gastric effect maybe but it’s a lower dose of the actual pain killing ingredient or so said my vet. If you don’t need serious help with pain, it might be a good choice and there are less expensive versions. Be careful if you show, it will test but it’s worth a shot. Why not, maybe it’ll work for your horse.
Actually observed better relief for mild arthritic changes with HA and Adequan with no tummy side effects. My horses with navicular issues got no help from anything but the Bute or plain old Aspirin, Previcoxx not being available back then.
I like HA as well.
Gave it a try for my horse that could not tolerate bute, banamine, or previcox. Did not feel it was effective. Wouldn’t stop me from trying it again if the situation warranted it. Just didn’t feel it was helpful for him.
I tried it and stopped using it after 2 weeks. It made my normally sweet horse very grumpy and reactive.
