I need to get nets with smaller openings, I fill bags then steam hay before feeding. Anyone have experience with Hay Chix bags and steaming hay? They are $$ and I’ve had some bags really react poorly to the heat.
I have steamed hay in the Hay Chix bags - they said it was fine to do so and it was, with regards to the netting. However, the clamp that keeps the bottom closed rusts out and then you need to to replace it and that was not particularly fun to me, lol. But it took a while for that happen. The netting/toggle/rope holds up just fine.
