Hay Rack/Hay Pod - Advantages and Disadvantages?

Is it worth installing a hay rack or pod on my trailer? If so, a rack or a pod? Any suggestions regarding size, etc?

I have a LQ, three horse slant, with a mid tack, and likely will be hauling three horses on multiday trips, so I can’t use the 1st stall for storage. I am not sure I want to put hay in the mid tack. Any thoughts or tips about transporting hay in the mid tack?

Disadvantage? Do you have a fork lift or tractor to load it?

Or can you back your trailer up to the hay loft to toss a couple of bales on top?
