Hay required - West Central Georgia

My long term hayman has given notice that he will no longer be in the hay business. I have done business with him for over five years and this is a serious blow to me - even though I did drive 100 miles one way to get his hay, it was lovely for horses.

I buy approximately 400 - 600 bales a year. (depending on number of head here). I prefer to buy on contract so I know my hay will not be sold out from under me. I also like a hay analysis for each cutting or at least per field.

Any one know of reputable hay providers that will actually honor a contract and provide specs on hay? I pay in full for each load. No credit asked and have excellent references from previous hay man.

Please PM me with thoughts/suggestions. I pick up but must have help loading on occasion (either mechanical help or human!).

Thanks!

What type of hay do you buy? I buy wonderful Timothy/Alfalfa from a man who has farm in Michigan, but he brings it to his place in Marietta. He delivers all over the southeast. Just let me know if you are interested. I will PM you his number.

I normally buy horse quality coastal bermuda as I supplement with alfalfa pellets in each feeding. I have in the past used Tift 44 as an alternative before I found my wonderful hay man and it worked well with my horses.
