Hay-Rite Hay Cubes?

Has anyone heard of the brand Hay-Rite? Looks like they are based out of TX

https://hay-rite.com/

I just found a couple of dealers for them up in MN and I am interested because they have mini alfalfa cubes. I’ve only been able to find timothy cubes in the mini’s in my area but would much prefer the alfalfa

I’m currently feeding the timothy cubes soaked and Standlee brand alfalfa pellets but I’ve seen numerous issues from people with netting in Standlee products so would like to move away from them

I’ve tried the regular sized alfalfa cubes in the past but they are so much harder to get fully soaked and I have a couple of chokers I feed them to so can’t risk them getting bites of hard cubes

Thanks!

I have been getting blue netting in my Standlee cubes and it is driving me crazy! There are no dealers in my area, if there were I would try Hay-rite. I am looking into steaming to avoid the netting.

I have a bag of them sitting in my barn right now and have used them since our feed store got them in…I haven’t had any problems, I sometimes tear them apart and use them as treats LOL I’m moving away from cubes and using pellets though so if you were close I would give them to you to try!

Several dealers in my area of TX. No better or worse than any other brand I’ve tried, but I’ve also never found netting in Standlee to turn me off, either. Standlee’s regular coupons combined with TSC’s regular sales make them a better deal for me.

Sounds good, thanks guys!

I have found that the Hay-Rite Cubes and complete feeds are superior. Soft enough you shouldnt need to soak unless your equine has a choking history.
