Has anybody tried the hay gain hay forager? I am considering buying one but have hesitated because of the price knowing my horse he will either love it or hate it. I would greatly appreciate any feedback on these.

If you email them, they will send you a sample. I had inquired about Zero and their senior feed, and they sent me a couple one pound packages to see if my mare would eat.

The black and green cylindrical thing? The barn where I feed on the weekends uses one as a secondary hay feeder (with a slow feeder saver) in a field with three horses.
It’s okay in theory, if a little fiddly to align the “filter” cover and the top lock ring. Also the base gets waterlogged and full of gross hay, making it super heavy to move around. However the piggiest mare in the field has figured out how to knock it over and kick and paw at it until it’s completely dismantled. I’m so tired of reassembling the thing that honestly don’t bother with it anymore and just throw a few extra hay piles.
